Crown Heights’ Dr. Rosen Sandek for Moscow Student
Crown Heights physician Dr. Rosen spent a few days in Moscow, where he was honored with being Sandek at the Bris of a student in the Mesivta.
The student, who has been studying at the Mesivta for quite some time, had initially resisted to undergo circumcision. But during a farbrengen on Chol Hamo’ed Sukkos, Rabbi Berel Lazar spoke with great emotion about the importance of the Mitzvah, inspiring the boy to request a Bris Milah.
On Sunday morning the Bris was performed by Dr. Shaya Shafit, who has performed well over 10,000 adult circumcisions, at the medical clinic in the Marina Roscha community center.
