ULY-OP Students Honor the Rebbetzin with Siyum

On Chof Beis Shvat, Rabbi Y. Karp’s 5th grade class at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva-Ocean Parkway honored the Rebbetzin’s yahrzeit by making a siyum on Mishnayos Sukka, led by Hatomim Meir Levy.  He concluded the mesechta beautifully, with a dvar Torah and explanation according to the Rebbe.

This siyum was made at a fleishig lunchtime farbrengen, attended by some of the older classes.  There were niggunim sung and stories told emphasizing the tremendous care and sensitivity the Rebbetzin exhibited towards the feelings of others. Rabbis Avtzon and Dechter helped the students see how to apply these midos in the daily lives of the students here today in yeshiva and how to emulate the Rebbetzin’s life.

ULY-OP thanks Rabbi Baras for overseeing the entire farbrengen and meal from beginning until the end, and making sure the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves throughout.

The things rabbi karp taught me I still remember today but what impacted me most was the way that he taught It with such care.

ULY is the true epitome of ahavas yisroel. The staff is incredably warm. Rabbi Dechter and Rabbi Barris are such amazing Tzadikim. They treat the students with such respect and dignity. May hashem bless them with health happiness and long life.

So glad you are back in the classroom. How lucky are our boys to have a true Mechanech guide and shape them.

on behalf of my family and myself I would like to thank everyone at ULY. They have all created an outstanding learning and loving environment for our son and his classmates to help them grow in Torah and midos.
We know that our son is in the best and most caring hands each day we send him to yeshiva.
Keep up the great work you do.
