Oholei Torah Students Rewarded with Ski Trip, Concert
Last week, while most of Crown Heights was trying to stay warm and dry, the 7th and 8th grades of Oholei Torah Mechina enjoyed the winter weather at the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in upstate New York.
This amazing and memorable trip was a reward for the hard work of the Talmidim during the year. Since the beginning of the year, the Talmidim have been putting extra effort into their learning and attendance, in anticipation for the annual trip.
A special surprise concert was held, starring Benny Freidman and Fitche Benshimon. Rabbi Dovid Kahanov, of the Mesifta Division, joined the trip, adding to the chassidishe atmosphere.
“These extra activities and projects have been very successful in adding chayus and in encouraging the talmidim in their davening, learning and attendance,” said Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, Menahel of the Mechina Division of Oholei Torah.
Rabbis Yossi Bryski and Shua Goldstein coordinated the trip, and R’ Mendel Levitansky, catered the event.

Very nice.
It looks like a lot of hard work went into pulling this all together.
I cant help but notice the stark contrast and mix in these pictures.
Some of the faces, poses and dress looks beautiful and authentic to Oholei Torah.
Other pictures and the spirit of the poses make me wonder which background these individuals are from?
Hmm… Is this what reb Michoel had messirus nefesh for?
I would be curious to see and track these same talmidim 10 years from now.
How telling and predicting these pictures will be.
There we go again..
Why are there those who are always the first to critsize. Kids are kids and if they want to express themselves in such a manner let them. They’re only going to look back at this and laugh.
