ULY Teachers Receive Beautiful New Year’s Welcome
Parents of ULY-Crown St. joined together to give the staff a warm welcome for the new year, while benefiting the school as well.
Beautiful Rosh Hashanah gift platters were hand delivered to the teachers and staff, with sweet new year wishes from the parents.
The platters were filled with various foods that make a special appearance on the Rosh Hashanah table.

they’r licky! nobody thinks for others??
Beautiful for teachers. They deserve it.
How did it benefit the school?
i like
nice, sweet project!

It was very nice to receive this from some of the boys. May these boys and the other boys in the class as well as the PTA and all of their families merit a gmar chassima tova and a great year.
Thank you!
morale booster
the school probably made a profit. plus it boosts morale. very nice.
a parent
Don’t see a reason for this. Parents are required to give chanukah gelt, shalach manos, end of year gift – and now a new thing: a rosh hashana basket.
what is next? 4 minim? a basket for tu bishvat?
as a parent of a large family, I find this unnecessary.
a personal Shana tova card is enough.
Credit needs to be given...
Yashek Koach to YAEL BRUMMEL for arranging these beautiful gifts!

Nice work
Cash is better
Teachers who need to pay their bills would rather get the cash which they desperately need then an assortment of exotic fruit – which is unnecessary.
Ghjj
Hmm….so, cash is better, but the point of all this was to fundraiser for yeshiva as well….like an auction, raffle or any other fundraiser. Additionally, you were not forced to join. If you felt it unnecessary, u didnt have to join, I have a large family bh , i don’t buy uggs for my kids or , hunters etc, and chose not to join, but thanked person involved for the effort, and price was really reasonable to accomplish fundraising and teacher appreciation at once.
Wine would be more useful
We, teachers need wine for yom tov. For shechiyunu we can get by with just one fig or pomegranate. Next time give what we actually need for yom tov. (Besides wine – which each teacher needs, we could all use challah, fish, meat, chicken etc.) The fruits, like flowers, are nice for someone that already has the basics needs.
