Gemara Comes to Life at Oholei Torah Mesivta

Last week, Oholei Torah Mesivta had the honor of hosting Rabbi Moshe Leiberman from Boston.  Being that the bochurim are learning Gemara Mesechtes Gitin, and Rabbi Lieberman is an authority in this field, he came to show the boys how the laws of divorce that are discussed in the gemara are applicable today.

Rabbi Lieberman brought with him a copy of a get and recounted real life cases that he was and is still involved with, connecting it to the Gemara that the bochurim are learning. The boys showed a lot of enthusiasm and asked many questions.

This shiur was arranged by Rabbi Zushe Willhelm, Dean of the Mesivta, as an ongoing program bringing guest speakers and authorities on various topics being learned.
