Chabad of Berlin Arranges Meeting with Israeli Diplomat

In light of media bias against Israel and several recent anti-Semitic incidents in Germany, Chabad of Berlin organized a meeting yesterday, July 24, with Israeli diplomat Emmanuel Nahshon to discuss what can be done for the situations to improve.

Around 40 young community leaders gathered to hear Mr. Nahshon speak, giving “facts on the ground” about the nature of the conflict and the current situation in Israel.

A lot of controversial issues were raised during the discussion, such as media propaganda, the outburst of anti-Semitism in Europe and the involvement of other middle-eastern countries other than Israel and Palestine.

The dialog also raised interest from some media outlets, which joined the meeting to get a different perspective on what is happening in this conflict.

As a final answer to the question “What can we do today to support Israel?” Mr.Nahshon said: “Start learning Hebrew. This is the holy language that enables us to preserve our culture, our history, our identity.  Start learning Hebrew.”
