Manchester Connects with the Rebbe
Over the past week, four large events were held in Manchester, UK in honor of Gimmel Tammuz, aimed at each individual segment of the local Jewish Community.
In the weeks leading up to Gimmel Tammuz, The JLI Paradigm Shift Course was taught by Rabbi Levi Cohen on two tracks, one for Anash and another for the wider community.
On Tuesday night, 26 Sivan, the Chasidishe and Litveshe communities of Manchester came together at the Apirion Hall to hear Rabbi Aron Dovid Ganz from Morristown, who farbrenged for hours, inspiring and illuminating them with new concepts from chassidus and the Rebbe.
A special teshura – the newest perek of Tanya from Chassidus Mevu’eres – was printed and given out at the event.
During Rabbi Ganz’ stay he gave a Shiur Nigleh in Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester and at the “Start Your Day The Torah Way” daily morning shiur in the Machzikei Hadas Shul. The event was organized by Eli Nochum Block, Shliach at Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester.

The program included an explanation on four niggunim, followed by a rendition of each niggun by world class Chazan Yossi Muller. The Keynote speaker, introduced by David Berkley, QC, was Manchester born Ambassador Yehuda Avner, who shared his personal recollections with the crowd.
A new JEM video was shown, which brought tears to many people.
Rabbi Daniel Walker, Rabbi of Heaton Park Shul, masterfully chaired the evening. The recital of Tehillim was led by Rabbi Benjy Simmonds, Rabbi of Stenecourt Shul, followed by a heartfelt ‘Acheinu Kol Beis Yisroel’ sung by Chazan Yehuda Marks of Heaton Park Shul.
