Kate Middleton Intrigued by Concept of Shlichus
Rabbi Yossi Jacobs, Chabad Shliach in Birmingham, UK and Chief Minister of Birmingham Hebrew Congregation, along with his wife Rachel, were among the eight thousand guests invited to Her Majesty the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace today.
The couple who were invited in honour of the Shluchim’s work in the community, and were honoured to have been introduced to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton).
The Duchess took an interest in the work of the Shul in Birmingham, and was excited to hear about the Californian Rebbetzin’s experience in the UK. She was intrigued that Rachel had left her family back home to go on her mission, and inquired how often she got the opportunity to go back home.
Unfortunately, the encounter was not captured on camera, as photography is prohibited inside the palace grounds.
