The new shul, called Beis Menachem Mendel Lubavitch, is under the auspices of NCFJE of Pomona and is under the leadership of Rabbi Pinchas Dovid Weber.

Beis Menachem Mendel Lubavitch is located in Rabbi Weber’s home at 7 Galileo Court.

This shul is not under the head shliach of rockland county, who has been here for over 28 years. Next time try to do things the way the Rebbe set it up. its not nice to come start machloksim.

btw there is another (2?) frum shuls in pomona that barley gets a minyan. why would you open an anash shul in a place where no anash live?

  • To No. 3

Judging by your comment, i think your name should be Monsey Farmer not veteran. u seem to be a total dodo wen it comes tothese things. it never said that werner was head shliach, but he was sent by the rebbe and has every right to open a shul b’shem chabad

to comment #3 Get Your facts right R Werner Shlit”a is the Head Shliach of Rockland County sent by the Rebbe to run NCFJE which the Rebbe requested to spread Torah and Chassidus in Rockland County than only years after R Werner’s arrival did R Kotlorasky came to make machlokos and hasn’t done anything good to help my families growth in Yiddishkeit, maybe HE should reconsider his legitamacy in rockland county and decide to go under R Werner or leave.

  • A Monsey resident for over 30 years

    To Monsey veteran,

Hard to believe you are truly a long time resident of Monsey.

Rabbi Werner is the Rebbe’s Shliach in Monsey for over 40 years KA”H. I remember it like yesterday (it was just a few years after i moved to Monsey) when he gave New City to Rabbi Kotlarsky and helped him established himself there, being that Rabbi Werner had a Chabad House there way before Rabbi Kotlarsky moved to New City.

Also, from what i understand, this is the only Chabad Minyan in Pomona and i heard from someone who davened there this past week that they had a large Minyan of Anash for Minyan.

So please refrain from stating the wrong facts, it’s not a nice thing to do.

  • Disgusted

    To number 3,4,, 5 and 6:

Is this the right place to discuss these issues, especially writing names and spreading lies? If you have an issue, speak to someone that can help solve it instead of posting things you decided are “facts” on a public web site.

For those that are reading this, BH the Chabad Monsey community has grown very nicley together during the last few years, with true unity between all the shluchim and rabonim. I see the rabonim and shluchim are very friendly, and every so often you can see them all schmoozing together in Tzemach Tzedek. Don’t let anyone convince you that there is any sort of machlokes here, BH everyone works together with true achdus.

As well the shliach in New City has one of the biggest Chabad Houses in the US, and I know many people from Monsey that he has helped, without looking for articles thanking him. He has a beutiful mosad, and deserves a lot of credit for everything he does there.

  • To comment 7 from comment 6

    To comment number 7.

I happen to agree with you, this isn’t the right place to discuss these issues. However, when i posted my comment (Comment number 6), comment 4 and 5 were not published yet. Being a long time resident of Monsey and knowing a thing or two, i felt obligated to respond.

However, i do agree and wish that any of these comments were never published or better yet ever written in the first place.

Also, in defense to comment number 4 and myself (comment 6), no Loshon Hara was written at all. The only thing negative written was on the author of comment 3, to which you yourself lashed out at. So i feel you are right at being disgusted on comment 3 for starting this, out of no where, and perhaps on comment 5. But to 4 and 6, i believe you are wrong to rebuke.

    To number 5:

Rabbi K. is a very devoted shliach, who works day and night to be mekarev yidden and to help anyone who asks.

I go to his Chabad House a few times a month (the high school is located in his CH), and I see how caring he is for his staff, and how much he goes out of his way to help Rabbi Kagen, and the high school. Just from seeing him for a couple of minutes, I can see that he is a real chossid, and does not think about himself. He deserves much credit, and may he continue to have much hatzlacha with his shul, school, camp, mikva and all of his projects! Thank you Rabbi K. for being an example of a true shliach, who takes little for himself, and always giving to help others.

  • Say things clearly

Comment Number 7, when you write “one of the biggest Chabad Houses in the US” you should make it clear you are referring to the structure not the community.

The community there is not all that large.
