‘Jewish Olympics’ Already Underway in Russia

As Russia prepares for the Winter Olympic Games of 2014, the thousands of pupils of the nation’s ‘Or Avner’ Jewish schools are already competing between themselves to be the winner of the ‘Darkeinu’ Olympic Jewish heritage quiz of 2014.

The quiz, attended by over 45 of the network’s schools from the different countries of the FSU and by thousands of students, has now reached the second stage that will narrow down the number of contestants who will continue to the finals.

The materials for the quiz are based on the FJC’s revolutionary Jewish heritage learning program ‘Darkeinu’ that has been specially developed to fit the language and mentality of today’s Jewish children in the Former Soviet union.
