Three New Chabad Shuls Dedicated in Moscow
Three new Chabad synagogues were dedicated in Moscow, Russia over the course of Chanukah this year, signaling the continued exponential growth of the Russian Jewish community.
The three synagogues are: 1. A Shul inside the confines of the Butirski Prison in Central Moscow, by Shliach Rabbi Aharon Gurevitz. 2. A Shul in the city’s Lubertzi neighborhood, by Shliach Rabbi Yigal Breverman. 3. A Shul in the Veikovski neighborhood, by the Chamah organization and Rabbi Dovid Karpov.
Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia, announced at the dedication of the latter synagogue that there now exist 30 Shuls in Moscow!
