Russian Jewry Celebrates Wounded Shliach’s Recovery
On Thursday, the last day of Chanukah, hundreds gathered at the Marina Roscha Chabad Shul in Moscow for a Seudas Hoda’a, thanking Hashem for the miraculous recovery of Shliach to Derbent, Dagestan Rabbi Ovadia Isakov after he was shot in the chest by a Muslim extremist last summer.
The event was attended by Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia, and philanthropist Levi Leviev, as well as other rabbis and community leaders from the former Soviet Union and Israel.
