Speaker Boehner Addresses Aleph Conference
Aleph hosted a military weekend for 75 U.S. military personnel and their spouses as part of its 5th Annual “Military Training Conference and Shabbaton.”
The conference was hosted at The Aleph Institute headquarters in Miami, Florida. Each year, dozens of Jewish U.S. military personnel from around the globe gather together for courses, training and a change of scenery in the spiritual environment of The Shul in Surfside, Florida where Aleph’s offices are located.
Part of the weekend also included the “Shabbat with Our Jewish Troops,” where over 50 Jewish military personnel gathered for davening on Shabbos, some of whom gave Divrei Torah and even davened for the amud. It is way for the community to connect with Jewish soldiers fighting for our lives every day and in turn for these soldiers to connect to the community they are so far away from. A Friday night dinner together with the troops was joined by over 350 members of the community gathering together in support.
The conference was hosted from Wednesday, February 8th and concluded Sunday the 12th. The theme of the conference was “Diversity in the Military” and was joined by recently retired Chaplain Major General Douglas Carver, former U.S. Army Chief of Chaplains as well as Major General Jeffrey Jacobs, one of only three Jewish Generals active in the U.S. Military.
The highlight of the event was when the military personnel and Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor, Surfside and Indian Creek Jewish community was joined by Hon. John Boehner, Speaker of the House who spoke to our troops and community to cap off the most successful weekend.
The Aleph Institute is hosting its 10th Annual Aleph Auction this Monday night, Feburary 13. Proceeds directly benefit Aleph’s military programs. Tickets may be purchased all day Monday until 10 p.m.. Please visit www.AlephAuction.org and show your support to our Jewish troops!

thank you.
The owner of a Private Security Company took me here to put on my Tefilin. After davening, a single mom with children came in and said she needs $800 instantaneously or she will be evicted today. All the Jews got together (many Holy Jews) and put together all this money to prevent a single mother and children from being evicted. She may have been non-Jewish.
Seriously??
And where is rebbetzin jr? Picture is INCOMPLETE!!
