Fathers and Sons Join Together for Torah Study
Last Motzei Shabbos, over 400 fathers and sons attended the first week of the Avos Ubanim Betzalel program at seven different locations throughout Crown Heights.
The excitement on the faces of the children and their fathers was contagious. A beautiful ‘Kol Torah’ could be heard wherever you went – fathers connecting with their children through the study of Torah.
Incentives and prizes galore, together with inspiring Divrei Chizuk, topped off this wonderful Motzei Shabbos experience.
On top of the five usual locations – Frankel Shul at 1619 President St., Agudah Shul at 456 Crown St., Eliyohu Nochum at 672 Lefferts Ave., Cong. 935-Chabad at 935 Eastern Parkway and Empire Shteible at 489 Empire Blvd. – this year, two new locations have joined the weekly father and son learning program: The basement Shul of 770 and Heichal Moshe on Lincoln Place between Schenectady and Utica Aves.
The Avos Ubanim program is now known as Avos Ubanim Betzalel, in loving memory of Reb Betzalel Jacobson, OBM, due to the generosity of his son Yerachmiel.
