London Celebrates Rosh Chodesh Kislev
Members of the London Chabad community gathered last night for a Rosh Chodesh Kislev seudah and farbrengen, organized by the Talmidei Hashluchim of the Yeshiva Gedola of London, with Rabbi Chaim Schochet of Crown Heights as the keynote speaker.
The night began with an opening ceremony by the Yeshiva’s Mashpia Rabbi Mendel Gordon, who called upon Rabbi Sufrin to lead with the recital of the Rebbe’s kapital Tehilim, as well as Kapital Chof for a speedy recovery for Rabbi Nachman Sudak, who suffered a heart attack while attending the Kinus Hashluchim in New York.
Rosh Yeshiva and Mara D’asrah Rabbi Hertz then gave words of blessing to the crowd, comprised of over 250 Anash and Bochurim.
A video of the Rebbe was shown, followed by a sumptuous gala dinner, during which Rabbi Leibish Heller inspired the crowd with a Dvar Torah.
Rabbi Schochet then enthralled the audience with his emotionally engaging stories and riveting words, inspiring the audience with thoughts Emunah and Teshuvah.
Stirred by the charismatic Rabbi Schochet’s words, the crowd broke out into joyous singing and dancing.
A lavish dessert was then served, followed by Bentching and an informal farbrengen with Rabbi Schochet that lasted until the early hours of the morning.
A special thank you goes to Talmidei Hashluchim Aaron Wolko and Shmuli Kendall for their invaluable work on making this event a reality.
