Conference Call for Men on Intimacy Concerns

What is marriage? What does it mean to be a husband? What does it mean to be a wife? What is the healthy way of relating to your marriage partner? Rabbi Manis Friedman steps up to the plate with a solution to one of the greatest challenges facing our community today.

By and large, the Chosson and Kalllah institutions place a tremendous emphasis on teaching, “What we are not allowed to do.” And, it is not working. We live in a time when guidance and direction is needed to educate about the basic fundamentals of the marriage relationship.

Rabbi Friedman says this program is responsive to the unending flow of requests for direction and support from couples of all ages and all stages of married life. He is also excited about the proactive element that this program offers by presenting it to Chassanim in their own separate track. Rabbi Friedman says this will have a direct impact and raise the odds of eliminating the unnecessary confusion that many young couples experience.

The bottom line Friedman says is: Marriage is designed to work. If it is not working for you, you need to learn how to make it work.

Rabbi Friedman is excited about the format of the course that will allow participants to participate from the comfort of their homes. Just the thought of traveling to an in person retreat is a hassle, never mind the additional costs it applies to the learning experience. The Tele-Seminar has the capability to reach participants on a global scale.

Click here for an audio interview with Rabbi Friedman. In his whimsical manner Rabbi Friedman responds to questions that are presented by Rabbi Shmuly Rothman, who is hosting the program.

The course begins this Thursday. Click here for the details and to register for the course.

  • Appreciative

I was at some of Reb Manis’sclasses to chassanim. This man will singlehandedly bring sanity and eidelkite back to our community.

I think it’s a beautiful thing, and quite needed, however it is a huge amount of money to ask of young Kollel leight, especially since they are getting $00 from Kollel, not even the token $300 a month. Wives are working, but it’s not enough to cover the bare minimum, how can they justify this?

    • Agreed

It seems that the target audiance is Kollel Yungerleit, and as that $200 is kinda steep.
Even from a business point of view, if they would charge a quarter of the price probably 10 times as many Yungerleit would be able to come.

  • To #2

I don’t think the price is unjustified, it’s a shame me and you cannot afford, I wish the organizers would be able to find a sponsor…

  • kallah teacher

I think this is a wonderful program it is just inappropriate the way it’s advertised stating “chassan and kallah teachers tell you what NOT to do now hear what yes to do” obviously the teachers are teaching the halachos and that has the yes and the no of halacha but now a days they put a much greater emphasis on the yes as well so it behooves R Friedman to advertise this without putting down the wonderful chosson and kallah teachers who are helping the foundation of yiddishkeit (taharas hamishpocha) be learnt and kept. Its always more welcomed to come teach all that is permitted but fact is halacha entails both. So R Friedman keep up the great work just don’t put down others on the way!

    SO SMART!!
    and so needed.!
Thank you crownheights.info for letting us know-this is the important stuff that lubavitch needs to know and be proud of!

Any amount Rabbi Friedman asks for is worth it, and will untimely pay off when you have a holy marriage, the way Hashem intended it to be!

  • Count me in!

I will definitely be listening. ( I would rather spend the money on this than on having to buy make up gifts :))

  • mordechai

    count me in

i wish rabbi friedman was doing this for the last forty years! his wisdom is a gift!

  • Gooooo rabbi friedman!

Rabbi friedman has been the stronghold of my marriage –
And that’s after spending $400+ on counseling by others which accomplished nothing….

  • price is fair

I agree with rabbi friedman. If you listen to the audio, he says that whatever the price is it is less than therapy and marriage counseling. Better get things off to a good start, instead of having to fix it when it breaks.

I am in on this and looking forward.

  • Make this also for older couples

For older couples too, please. All ages need these ideas.

  • JUST CURIOUS

Will R. Friedman also be stressing to the husbands that they can and should be man enough – and frum enough- to tell their wives that will love them at least as much if they dress properly according to Jewish law? This would be a good forum to do that!!!!

    • GROK

A lot of women think that dressing “frum” means looking dowdy. That is NOT the case, unless you have bad taste or use dowdy models. Take a close look at what Rebetzin Esther Jungreis wears, now that is elegance, class, beauty and tzniut.

  • It's about time

So happy that there’s something like this available now! After my chosson classes, I was terrified that my wife would be a difficult, hormonal roommate I had to learn to live with and woe unto me if I ever messed up or upset her and especially if I chas vshalom made a mistake doing HER calendar…….. I’ve obviously discovered marriage is much different but this course with R Friedman ought to be incredible

  • C H er

Great move, and probably worth the investment, but I don’t think most young people will see it that way. When you have to spend almost $200, and you have nothing coming in, you think of all the other places that money could go, probably to pay bills

maanis is just one man’s opinion.

my (another man’s) opinion is that a lady’s perspective is more valuable if you want to know what it takes to be a good husband, mate, etc. and vice versa.

  • call was great tonight!

I really enjoyed it. Rabbi Friedman has such a practical take on life, and everything he says is based on Chasidis. Such a great perspective! I’m looking forward to the rest!
