Mesivta Boys Raising the Bar

In preparation for the new zman, Mesivta Menachem of Buffalo launched it newest campaign to “raise the bar and lower tuition”. Among other initiatives, the Mesivta revised their acceptance criteria, expanded the curriculum and enhanced it’s learning program.

After the first weeks of Yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Munitz, the Rosh Yeshiva, likes what he sees. “Our goal,“ said Rabbi Munitz, was to get a group of bochurim who are interested in davening and learning that could gain from the personal attention and family like atmosphere we provide. We have definitely met our goal and then some!”

The Shluchim, hatomim Chaim Yeyoshua Munitz and Baruch Zeitz, have initiated their first mivtza of the year. The bochurim who complete the mivtza will be rewarded with a close encounter of Niagara falls aboard the world famous Maid of the Mist! This has added tremendous chayis to the yeshiva. With the Elul atmosphere already in high gear, the bachurim are looking forward to the Chai Elul farbrengen for even more inspiration.

To encourage achdus amongst the bachurim and help them get to know each other the bachurim have been treated to backyard swims, Barbeques and Shabbos seudos at the homes’ of Hanhallah.

With the ruchnius soaring so high, the bachurim were rewarded with trip to the Niagara falls Air reserve station for an airshow commemorating the 10th anniversary of September 11th. Of course, the bachurim planned on using this unique opportunity for mivtza teffilin. Unfortunately, due to the heightened security they weren’t able to do the Mivtzoim but they did get to enjoy the amazing show put on by the pilots of “Thunder over Niagara”.

The Mesivta is having a wonderful impact on the local community. At his son’s sholom zachar, Rabbi Dr. Pinny Young (who gave last year’s course on the negative affects of alcohol) told the bochurim, ”You’re Torah learning is a zchus for all the balei batim who look to the temimim as an example of a chaya“l”. This sentiment was echoed by the other members of the community. It seem Rabbi Munitz is not the only one who like what he sees.

Mesivta Menachem is truly a place where everyone can go learn and be yourself at the same time.
they care for you and deal with the individual in a way no other yeshiva can.8+ years in out of town schools and there was never a dull day there.
they always have someone available to talk to, to learn with, or just to chill with.
every other school should look at MMOA and see how they create an atmosphere where one can really feel an enjoyment from learning while still being able to get out and have fun with trips sports and lots of other activities that they arrange for the boys its the only Yeshiva i will remember forever!! thanks to the Munitz Family for staying strong and keeping the place going so others can enjoy this amazing place!!

AWESOME YESHIVAH. IF THEY (YESHIVOS) ALL HAD A RABBI LIKE R’ MUNITZ THAT UNDERSTANDS A BOCHUR AND WHERE HE IS COMING FROM THE BOCHURIM TODAY WOULD LOOK VERY DIFFERENT.
