The results are in and out of the 20 winners in the Kohls Cares competition 12 of them are Jewish and Chabad schools! Among the winners is Crown Heightses United Lubavitcher Yeshiva who took 18th place!

    So happy for ULY! The administration deserves it for their kind attitude to parents, and the students deserve it because they are inner-city kids that need a break. Kol Hakavod to whoever was behind the vote-getting!

    Can I suggest going to the Kohls facebook page and thanking them. Every other school is doing it, so let us make a kiddush hashem and show some hacoras hatov. There have also been a few naysayers doubting the validity of our Jewish schools votes!

    GO ROHR BAIS CHAYA ND HEBREW ACADEMY! WE WORKED SO HARD AND NEVER GAVE UP.WITH 2 HORS OF SLEEP AND A MEAL A DAY..CLEANED OUT EVERY COLLEGE IN FLORIDA.MADE IT TO SHABBAS LITTLEY 5 MINUTES FBEFORE CANDLE LIGHTING!! WOW! B”H ITS OVER!

    Please note that Kohl’s hasn’t announced any “winners” yet – all the list is, is the “Top 20 Vote-Getting Schools.” They have to go through a verification process first and the winners will be announced in late September.

    Oholei Torah did not enter because its against the school’s policy for its students to have facebook. They did not want to make the wrong impression upon thier students.
    And Oholei Toreah saw that this past year they received a very very large doation, without going against their policy!

    Kol HakAvod to Oholei Torah for standing up to thier integrity!

    In honor of you, the alumni in HACS or RBC I have just heard that some of the money which will be given will be used to create a new English program, they will be helping their students learn how to write and spell so that the next time their alumni write something on one of these blogs it will actually be a coherent statement and spelled correctly!

    to #22, I guarantee you a large portion of OT students have facebook, whether you like it or not. If you can say no to half a million dollars by ignoring that fact, obviously you don’t need the money.

    Many of these schools cheated and unfortunately will be disqualified. Its a huge Hillul H-shem and should be ashamed that their actions deprived other honest working schools from winning. Kohl’s is conducting a thorough investigation and have confirmed that many of these schools are OUT. Its really disturbing what people are willing to do for money!
