MELBOURNE, Australia [CHI] — At the wedding of Ari and Chana Herzog Tuesday night, a DVD was distributed featuring a preview of Faithful and Fortified, the inside story of the Rebbe’s involvement in Israel’s security, as told by its defense and government leaders.
The video which was distributed features a powerful short film, followed by interviews with six military and intelligence sources, including the director of the Mossad, and commanders in the IDF and Israel’s air force. According to JEM sources, this is the first in a series featuring Prime Ministers, soldiers, Chaplains, journalists and others, and pulls back a layer on the Rebbe’s deep involvement with steadfast advise to Israel’s leaders.
The film was funded by the Kallah’s father Rabbi Yossel Gutnick, who is the Rebbe’s emissary for the integrity of the Land of Israel.
Also featured in the film is Yosef Lautenberg, the founder of the injured IDF veterans association. He speaks a visit to the Rebbe with a group in 1976. His 10-minute interview features also audio of the Rebbe speaking to the group, accompanied by newly-discovered photographs of the Rebbe addressing the group.
