WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Lindsay Ellingsworth, age 27, pleaded no contest to charges stemming from a hit and run accident in which she killed a West Hollywood man on Fountain Avenue.
Lindsay Ellingsworth, age 27, pleaded no contest to charges stemming from a hit and run accident in which she killed a West Hollywood man.
The incident occurred on August 2, 2007, on Fountain Avenue, one of the cityโs several east-west thoroughfares, although predominantly residential, at the Kings Road intersection at 11:45 p.m.
Witnesses said that the victim, Yisroel (Izzy) Woonteiler, age 23, was thrown 40 to 50 feet in the air from the concussion.
He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in a coma, to which he succumbed after several days, dying on Tuesday, August 7, 2007.
The street scene just before the accident was caught on video tape, giving law enforcement officers a solid lead through which to track the perpetrator of the crime.

She deserves more than 2 years. What are we teaching people that it is ok to hit someone and leave the scene and they only get 2 years. This family deserves to see their daughter go to jail and rot.
