The one and ONLY trip of the second month.. What did I get for almost $2000? Next year we’ll be sending him to Montreal

    To comment number 1,
1st of all, it’s not the only trip they had this summer,

2nd of all, Montreal and parksville have the same amount of trips, maybe 1 more or one less, which would be a total difference of 25$ for your son,

3rd, if the trips is what you base your sons camp expiriance on, so keep him home with you, and spend all that money just on taking him on trips,

If you don’t participate the greatness of camp, especially a camp like gan yisroel parksville then it’s a reall shame.

4th, last but not least, from the way your sower comments are written, I can surely tell you didn’t pay close to 2000$ for the 2nd month of camp, so stop sulking and let your son enjoy his time in the hotlines of camp,

    Have a great day

No silly thats not what you pay for, the trips cost maybe $ 30 a kid. What you pay for is that your child should have a safe and enjoyable time in a wonderful chassidishe fun exciting atmosphere , be served 3 delicious meals a day, be entertained 24 7 and have agood ol time on his time between school…
On another note, as a former camper, staff member, head staff member I believe the children go on larger trips twice per session plus smaller trips with their bunk sporadically throughout the summer, but trips is not the main focus of camp, its just an added excitement to an already exciting camp experience.
But if you feel that the camp cheated you by not providing enough put of camp trips perhaps you are not looking to give your child the true camp experience and you should better keep him home next summer and every day personally take him to six flags! I can assure you he will not enjoy that for 4-8 weeks being without a proper structure and without friends.

I am the original poster and I can confirm that aside from bowling this was the only trip of the second month. My nephew in Montreal went on three trips. I understand that trips are not the main focus but more than one trip should be given. And for your information I paid the full tuition and rsuggrsted tips.
