Hit and Run on Carroll and Brooklyn

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — A small jeep speeding down Brooklyn Ave rear ended a parked van between Carroll and Crown. The incident took place yesterday, Sunday at around 7:00pm just as the rain intensified. Bystanders observed a Jeep Liberty speeding, losing control and swerving into a parked van.

Bystanders who witnessed the accident were astounded to see the SUV then try to flee the scene, only the SUV’s tires locked and would not drive, the two occupants then got out of the vehicle and fled down Crown and Carroll towards New York Ave.

The Jeep had Maryland license plates with expired registration stickers on it suggesting the vehicle was stolen. Thank G-D there were no injuries to bystanders as result of this incident.
