Major Accident on Empire Injures 3, Pins Driver
Crown Heights [CHI] — A pickup truck and a sedan collided mid intersection on Empire Boulevard, sending one through the front of the liquor store and the other up onto the sidewalk. One pedestrian, an elderly woman was hit and critically injured.
A major kiddush hashem was made when a number of Jewish men sprung into action after witnessing the accident and giving aid to the non-Jewish victims who were hurt.
Hatzalah joined shortly thereafter, followed by firefighters, who had to use the hurst tool – otherwise known as the jaws of life – in order to get the woman out of the sedan.
According to surveillance footage which captured the accident it shows how the driver of the sedan clearly ignored a steady red light and causing the crash.
While some of the injuries were reported as serious, everyone is expected to survive.
100 Bottles of Beer on The Wall
Oy Vey!
thirsty
never knew we had drive through liquer stores in CH
lol thats awesome
Mockery is not funny!
don’t think it’s right to make light of a serious issue like this! I feel bad for the people who got injured!
Mom
scary!! our girls pass there on their way to school!!!
98%
All the guy had to do was park & go in. It isn’t a drive-thru!
oyy!
That driver must have been dying of thirst. I guess his plan was to rob a liquor store, but instead he did what was easier: Took the drive through, in other words crashed in to have a beer bottle!! May everyone have a speedy recovery!
huh?
Did anyone notice the last bottle standing? A big bottle of Grey Goose! Lchaim!
Lecahim!!
Lechaim! Lechaim!!
The car at fault
The Pickup truck was going down albany on his green light. The woman in the car was on empire and ran the light, cameras from nearby stores can prove it..
Angry!!!
It really isn’t necessary to make fun of the seriously injured people in this accident, especially when the car that smashed into the liquor store was not the speeding car! Try and have a heart!!!
It doesn-t matter
Some of you are really sick to the head to think of and leave such ridiculous comments! SMDH
Derik Edwards
driver of the pickup is Derik Edwards, an UNLICENCED electrician that does allot of work for anash in CH and is a guteh ganev.

These comments are rather rude! Have a heart and say some Tehillim for these poor people. They really did no harm to people and their hearts. (except to themselves and the stores, which is quite sad…) Have pity and don’t make jokes from beer bottles which turned into an accident, wtvr… but its wrong to make silly jokes on serious things! “It’s never silly whenever serious” Please do those poor hearts a favor and treat this situation nicely!
The Running Drinker
99 bottles of beer on the wall,
99 bottles of beer,
with just one crash,
they all fall down,
no more bottles of beer on the wall!!
Chani
REALLY bad karma to make fun of someone else’s misfortune!! I hope HaShem isn’t listening to the stupid comments. Because if He is….those making fun better watch out.
to #15
#15: Karma is a goyishe concept. (We have hashgocho pratis.)
Bentch Gomel
I think the young couple with a baby carriage who were about who were about to cross the intersection in the video should bentch gomel.
Don-t Blame The Commentators
Don’t blame the commentators for being insensitive. The first version of this article made the accident seem as though no-one was seriously hurt. Many of the comments probably came at that point, before the article was updated to show more serious injuries.
Abraham-s gifts of Torah sparks
We have the law of cause and return. It’s the same thing. The concept comes from exactly the same source.
PEACE
Sometimes a little laughter in trouble time is what one needs. However, they dont need negativity. Regards to comment 12, If you dont have a positive word to say keep your negativity to yourself especially when such an incident has occured.
