Police Accident Leaves Bochur Injured

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn, [CHI] — Motzoi Shabbos, at about 1:00am, while everybody was on their way to Shul for Slichos, a couple of Bochurim driving Cadillac on Montgomery Street was struck by a Police car as they crossed the intersection with Brooklyn Avenue.

The Police car who according to witnesses had its emergency lights flashing but no sirens just cruised through the red light, going down Brooklyn and striking the Cadillac on the driver’s side door.

The driver only sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Hatzalah to Kings County Hospital. BH none of the injuries appeared to be serious.

    but its good to see our hatzlah there to help out, another group that deserves credit is SHOMRIM! yet again they were at the scene long before anyone else!

    I also almost had a police car hit me, and then the driver had the nerve to yell at me…Complaining did nothing.

    last week thursday around 7pm I witnessed a police car driving down empire approaching brooklyn from new york ave casually taking a red light without flashing lights or siren. he nearly hit a car and to get out of its way, he frightened a mother walking with a toddler by shortstopping right in front of them, he then made a left turn into the 71st pct parking lot (on empire) I was too shocked to catch his car number…….
