Baba Sali Hiloula Marked By Hundreds in Crown Heights

More than 600 men and women filled the Grand Ballroom of Oholei Torah to celebrate the 41st Hiloula of Baba Sali in Crown Heights, making it the largest Hiloula outside of Israel. They were joined by 1100+ viewers on YouTube.

The 41st Hiloula of Baba Sali of saintly memory attracted more than 1700 people this past Sunday night in Crown Heights.

The Hiloula was organized by the Rav of Merkaz Sefard and of the Sefardic community in Crown Heights, Rabbi Lazer Avtzon, and was done in partnership with Reb Hirshel and Annette Lipsker (a granddaughter of the Baba Sali) and their children and grandchildren.

The grand ballroom of Oholei Torah, was filled to capacity with community members, along with guests from Flatbush, Queens, Long island, New York City, New Jersey, and even as far away as Israel and France. Additionally, over 1100 watched the Hiloula online via Zoom and YouTube.

Divrei Bracha from the Rishon Letzion Harav Dovid Yitchok, Rishon Letzion and current Chief Sefardi Rav of Yerushalayim Harav Shlomo Moshe Amar, Maran Rosh Yeshiva Rav Meir Mazuz, Harav Yisroel Abergel, Harav Yigal Cohen, Chief Rabbi of the Bukharian Jewish Communities of the USA and Canada Harav Shlomo Babayev, Sar Hasimcha Avi Maimon from Kol Barama radio station in Israel, all specially recorded for the participants and supporters of our Hiloula were broadcast on our screens and YouTube channel.

Additional Inspiring Divrei Tefila and Chizuk as well as special Tefilot for Am Yisroel, the soldiers of the IDF and for the return of all the hostages were offered by Rabbi Lazer Avtzon, Rabbi Dovid Shalom Pape, and Rav and Mekubal Zevulun Bazov of Israel.

Sound camera and video systems were provided by Levi Hillel.

Pianist and singer Hillel Melloul of Marseilles France, and drummer Ido Shushan of Brooklyn, provided the musical entertainment. Peretz Benhiyoun, together with numerous Sefardi Bachurim from 770 assisted with Tefilot for our soldiers and hostages , as well as traditional Hiloula Piyutim.

With the fervent prayer that in the merit of this Hiloula, that we merit the immediate Geulah now.
