Smoke and Flames In Wednesday Morning Van Fire in Crown Heights

A fast-moving fire engulfed a van in Crown Heights Wednesday morning near the intersection of Lefferts Ave and Lamont Ct. Firefighters quickly put out the fire with heavy smoke choking the area.
Witnesses were shocked around 9:30am when flames were seen quickly eating through the van. 911 was called and the firefighters quickly responded. But even in the few minutes it took for them to arrive, the entire van was completely in flames, and an explosive fireball from the vehicle made it worse.
Thankfully no injuries were reported in the incident, but the flames gutted the vehicle.
