No Injuries After Menorah Fire In Crown Heights Apartment

by CrownHeights.info

It may only be the first night of Chanukah, but the safety reminder about unattended fires is no less important.

Crown Heights Shomrim, Hatzalah, and the fire department all responded to a Carroll Street building Wednesday night after a Chanukah Menorah in an apartment window went from a controlled flame to a conflagration, prompting pedestrians walking by to call for help.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and thankfully no injuries were reported.

We must all remember that open flame is a danger, no matter how small the flame.

Both Crown Heights Shomrim and Hatzalah have released safety tips for the community surrounding Chanukah, which can be viewed here.
