Fire Evacuates Crown Heights Building Monday, Causes Significant Damage

An all-hands blaze evacuated a Crown Heights building Monday afternoon, causing significant fire and water damage to the building.

Firefighters rushed to 532 Lefferts Ave around 5:20pm after receiving reports of a fire on the 6th floor of the building. Ladders were quickly stretched and the building evacuated as the firefighters doused the apartment and neighboring areas with water.

The building residents were thankfully unharmed, and no firefighters were injured.
