Rabbi Manis Friedman Addressed the Shidduch House
The Shidduch House recently had the privilege of hosting Rabbi Manis Friedman, a renowned author and speaker, to address the shadchanim and speak about his newly published book, “Fast Acting, Long Lasting”. The event was a huge success and the Shadchanim left feeling empowered and equipped with new insights into dating. The book provides a fresh perspective on dating and relationships, offering practical advice on how to navigate the dating process and build long-lasting fulfilling relationships. He emphatically stressed the importance of using a Shadchan throughout the process and the crucial role they play in shidduchim.
The talk also featured a Q&A where the attendees had the opportunity to ask Rabbi Friedman questions about dating and relationships and work through some of the challenges they come across in their work. The questions ranged from practical tips such as creating your criteria list, to more philosophical questions about why we get married.
One of the key takeaways from the event was the importance of intentionality in dating. Rabbi Friedman emphasized the need for individuals to be intentional in their search for a partner, taking the time to understand themselves and what they are looking for in a partner. He also stressed the importance of being open and honest about your needs and values. He reiterated the concept that we are looking for a husband/wife not a guy or girl and the importance of being committed to marriage.
