With great sadness we report the sudden and untimely passing of Reb Michoel Schnitzler OBM, a Jewish music legend whose music remains a mainstay for the Jewish music world.

He was 62 years old.

Born in 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, and began his career as a singer at a young age, quickly gaining popularity for his soulful voice and his ability to connect with audiences through his music.

During his career, Michoel released 15 albums with over 150 songs, marking his final release in the year 2000.

Michoel had just returned from spending Pesach in Eretz Yisroel to Airmont when he suffered what is believed to be a heart attack. Hatzoloh of Rockland County rushed to his side where they attempted to save his life. He unfortunately passed away a short time before Shabbos.
