NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell made a whirlwind visit to 770 Eastern Parkway Thursday, where she was given a tour of the Rebbe’s Room and the Library of Agudas Chassidei Chabad.

“I was honored to have accompanied @NYPDPC and @ingridBKNY Chief Advisor to @NYCMayor on a visit to Crown Heights, and the Rebbe’s room and library,” tweeted Rabbi Yaacov Behrman.

Behrman led a small delegation of community leaders who welcomed the commissioner, and accompanied her on the tour.

In a Tweet posted to her official page, Sewell noted that the visit was a way of connecting with the community.

“Some of the best resources to help keep our neighborhoods safe are the New Yorkers who live in them,” the Tweet said. “Today, we were fortunate to meet with leaders in NYC’s Jewish community to discuss ideas about public safety, partnership — and moving our city forward.”

Accompanying the Commissioner was Inspector Richie Taylor, the highest-ranked yarmulke-wearing officer in the New York Police Department, Ingrid Lewis-Martin, the Chief Advisor to NYC Mayor Eric Adams, and Joel Eisdorfer, Senior Advisor to the Mayor.

Discussing the ideas of public safety…. none of the people that live and breath the public safety of CH were even there?!
