A large crowd of Crown Heights residents, officials and askanim braves the cold weather Sunday afternoon to join in the historic groundbreaking of Crown Heights Hatzalah’s new Headquarters.

With the assistance of the NYPD, Albany Ave became a sprawling venue complete with large digital screen, music, and seating for those attending the event.

Attendees were greeting with words of inspiration from famed Rabbi and lecturer Rabbi Simon Jacobson, who told of the vital work that the volunteers of Crown Heights Hatzalah perform.

The gathered crowd then said a Kapital Tehillim with Yechiel Kalish, the CEO of Chevra Hatzalah, and heard Divrei Torah from Harav Yosef Yeshaya Braun.

A special video presentation highlighting the history of Crown Heights Hatzalah and the need for a community central headquarters followed.

Other speakers at the event included Crown Heights Hatzalah Coordinator Rabbi Yossi Simpson, Crown Heights Rov Rabbi Levi Garelick, Crown Heights Physician Dr. Eli Rosen, Rabbi Berel Junik, and Rabbi Shlomie Greenwald.

The event concluded with the official breaking of ground honoring the volunteers and supporters of Crown Heights Hatzalah.

A special thank you to Chani Greenbaum events who donated the stage decor in honor and thanks to all the Hatzalah volunteers.
