keep it up Rabbi Wolf! you are the best!

The video looks very profesional. The classrooms look very structured, which is a great thing. One part of the video, however upset me. Rabbi Yotzchok Wolf said quote, “ We have an open door policy. No child will ever be turned away.” What happend to all those children who were expelled a few years ago from the Cheder? For what? They didn’t bully other children. They didn’t reek havoc in school. They were asked to leave due to their beliefs. Why is this an exeption?

THE OUTPOURING OF GRATITUDE TO HASHEM AND EMOTION TO THE POINT OF TEARS WAS A FITTING TRIBUTE TO RABBI WOLF WHO EVEN FROM HIS HOSPITAL ROOM AND THE TIRCHA OF RADIATION AND CHEMOTHERAPY NEVER LOST HIS POSITIVE SPIRIT AND HIS FAITH AND MESRAS NEFESH FOR OUR CHEDER AND OUR COMMUNITY.

I very much feel that a mossad should adhere to the Rebbe’s open sichas about round Luchos, even though the top of the Luchos look like a open sefer, like Oholei Menachem’s Logo, but I beleive the rebbe told Chanoch L’nar who had rounded windows to cahnge the logo, just incase somebody would interput as the luchus, how much more so a logo with the luchus themselves

    Dear Ephraim,

What does his illness have to do with him expelling well-behaved, hard-working Lubavitch children because of where they go to shul or where their sisters go to High School or what their moshiach beliefs are?

We all wish him an immediate refuah, but one has nothing to do with the other.

It is easy to be welcoming and “positive” to those we are like-minded with, but didn’t the Rebbe want more from us? Do we welcome only like-minded individuals to our Shabbos tables? The Rebbe wanted so much more from us. I believe that is why people just shake their heads in disbelief over this video.

All the best to you and your community.

I am truely indebted and filled with gratitude for the wonderful Chassidishe education that I received from Cheder Lubavitch. The video was professionally done, truly a beautiful peice, yet only a microscopic veiw of what Cheder does for its students.

    B“H

”we have an open door policy.“
    ”NO CHILD IS REFUSED.”

how can he say that with a straight face??

  • Graduate of Cheder

Great Job Rabbi and Mrs Wolf, may you continue to only know simchas and celebrate your 50 years of service to Cheder Lubavitch. For those indiviuals still hung up on the few “expelled” from Cheder….Get a life, you have your own school, now go there and leave this one alone. “If only Chabad had a few more like the Wolf’s”

  • Mendel NY

if you look closely its luchos in the shape of a book. – get it – luchos – school – books?
Truth is i was surprised and needed to do a double take.

    To Graduate of Cheder,
You wrote for all of you still hung up on the few expelled from the cheder get alife you have your own school to go to.” You write expelled in quotes as if to say that isn’t exactly what happened. It was. Why does Lubavitch need more pple like the Wolfs. The Rebbe wants us all to have ahavas yisroel. Imagine if we had more pple like the wolfs. While they definetly do a great amount of good why is asking children to leave their school for no reason an exeption. And we have our own school because a new school had to be created in order so these children would be able to continue their education

  • Tzemach Tzedek teacher

    To graduate of cheder,
You wrote, quote “ For those individuals still hung up on the few expelled from cheder get a life you have your own school.” You make it seem like it was no big deal that innocent children who did nothing wrong were expelled. These are children we are talking about. CHILDREN!!! What have they done wrong? If it was your child being expelled from school without a legit. reason you would be hung up too. (Atleast I hope you would.)They have their own school to go to now because a new school was needed in order that these children would be able to continue their Torah Education. I happen to teach some of those children that were expelled and I would like to share someting with you so you can see exactly who these kids are.

There is a girl that came to our school a few years ago. She was unhappy in the school she was in. (She wasn’t in Cheder.)Why? Because she was a little diffrent from the other “normal” children and she was made fun of. While any other child can easily make fun of the fact that she can’t easily catch a ball, or run, or even talk in the same manner as the others these girls have befriended her. Infact today I gave them an assignment to do with partners and one of the girls said, “I’m on __’s team.”
These are the kind of children that were expelled. Yes it was a “few” as you put it.So what if it wasn’t many!! Even if it was only one it doesn’t make it acceptable. I am proud to be teaching such girls who have an enormous amount of ahavas yisroel for eachother.
p.s. Please do not tell me to get a life. I have a wonderful one thank you very much.

  • Cheder Parent

As a Cheder parent I know that two families were accepted back to Cheder because they agreed to stop rabble rousing and I they are happy at Cheder.
Cheder was a battle scene when these rebels were at the school. Rabbis Wolf and Perlstein and the school staff suffered greatly when your trouble makers were at the school. The administration and the Rabbeim were considered Apikursim for not saying Yechi and for not wearing your pins and other or waving your flags.
Now you have your own school. Wave your flags, consider the whole world as Apikursim. Name Turen as the head Shliach of Illinois.Dance with waving flags. Make your Chilul Hashem in the streets of Chicago as you see fit and thank G-d we do not have you in our Shuls or in our schools.
Finally Chicago Anash is at peace. Out of site out of mind.

  • Chicago Alum

Firstly I can’t believe how openly Rabbi Wolf said that he has an open door policy and everyone is accepted. And just because another school was made for these children doesn’t make it all fine and dandy. And to Chicago parent the families that were allowed to go back to Cheder was only because they had a Din Torah and fought for it.

  • anonymos

first of all, that was an amazing video.very well done!!
and second of all the reason why crownheights.info lets people post their comments is because they want you to write nice and normal comments.not critisizing comments!!!and also isn’t everyone supposed to have ahavas yisroel?why is everyone arguing over each other comments?this is why moshiach isnt coming!!!if we all agree with each other and have peace,THEN moshiach will come.we have enough pain in our life as it is.

  • To all ignorant people

As the Cheder parent wrote, a school cant runwhen the parents openly are despising the community leaders, the heads of cheder. The open critesism in front of there children only add in there chutzpah (thinking that the rebbe wants them to) is not something to be tolerated. If the lack of Ahavas Yisroel was shown so evidently it was by those “expelled” kids parents. The propaganda they showed was projected majorly unfortunately. And in fact most of those kids were not expelled rather given the choice either to send there kids to the other mosdos or not to. It was their own choice. I heard that rabbi Turen once asked Rabbi Shusterman (which everybody respected) if he could make his own shul where thay would say yechi. Rabbi Shusterman answered him “and your own Mikve and school as well”. The policy was made just to save the school and community from a huge split and lack of authority. Any way enough with all the politics and if we would trully beleive in Moshiachs coming, this all wouldn’t happen. So with positive moods and removal of resentment towards one another, Moshiach would shuirely come now!
