IDF Soldier and Israeli Civilian Stabbed in Chevron

A Palestinian terrorist wounded an IDF soldier and a civilian Wednesday in a stabbing attack near Beit Hadassah, a building that houses Jewish families in the holy city of Chevron.

From The Algemeiner by Eliezer Sherman:

United Hatzalah of Israel, a volunteer-based medical emergency organization, released video footage of the aftermath of Wednesday’s terrorist stabbing of an Israeli soldier and another male in his 20s, the Israeli news site nrgreported.

According to initial reports, a Palestinian man lunged for the Israeli soldier, who asked to see the man’s ID papers, and began stabbing him in his torso before being shot dead by a security guard on the premises. Another Israeli man, Yitzhak Strook, suffered light stab wounds to the leg after attempting to overpower the assailant, later identified as 20-year-old Abed a-Rahman Massouda, whose cousin reportedly carried out a separate stabbing attack in Hebron on Monday.

Tensions remain heightened in the Hebron area, which has been a flash point for Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians in the past few months of violence, sparked in part by rumors that Israel was trying to take over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and destroy the Al Aqsa Mosque.

In Hebron on Monday, Israeli security officials arrested four members of Hamas — the Gaza-ruling group whose leaders have condoned the recent wave of stabbing attacks against Israelis as a legitimate means of resistance.

One of the victims of Tuesday’s attack, a male in his 20s, was the son of Orit Strook, a former Israeli parliamentarian from the nationalist Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) party.

Following the attack, Strook told reporters at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where her son was evacuated, that she had predicted an incident like this would occur on that spot.

“It was something that was so foreseeable, that should not have been allowed to happen,” Struk said.

She said she had warned the local Israeli military authorities that the security checkpost outside Beit Hadassah in Hebron, where Tuesday’s stabbing occurred, was under-guarded.

  • Israel can do it too.

Guess whose running for President of the US? Believe it or not, R. Meir Kahane (a.k.a. Donald Trump). What’s coming out of candidate Trump is very much like that of R. Meir, HY”D.
I don’t know how far Donald will go with his anti-Muslim policy. But, nevertheless, if he becomes President – whatever he does, Israel has a right to do the same.

  • CH Homeowner

Are you for real???!!? Trump is an outright fascist. The internment of Japanese – US citizens – during WWII was shameful. Labeling all Muslims as terrorists is outrageous.

  • Now, let me clarify

If Trump is truly a Fascist, and he succeeds in sinking America to that, then, indeed, we would be in much worse trouble than we are having now. On the other hand, now that we have Israel, there is no ‘excuse’ to get rid of us by death. In fact, the Nazis (with Y”SH’s approval) first proposed to do just that in 1940, by resettling us in Madagascar – see:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar_Plan .

Who knows? Maybe, that’s part of the scenario, leading up to the redemption – that, being all Jews gathered from the “4 corners” of the world and resettled in Eretz HaKodesh.

Oh yeah! No big secret that Israel is also a nuclear power. So I would like to think that it would not be in any normal country’s best interest to risk WW3, which will not discriminate in the massive loss of life this will incur.

  • Trump never said

the Muslims are all terrorists you lying liberal. He said according to the pew study 25% of those already living in the USA are in support of violent Jihad against Americans so we have a serious problem we need to deal with. This besides all those coming in that we have no idea what their intentions are, especially when seeing all major terrorist attacks in the world today are committed by Muslims.

  • Mathematical fallacy

There are those who like to make the following comparison:
“What if he said that about Jews? You’d hear
screams of anti-semitism, and calls for his
    denunciation and resignation.”

Off-hand, that sounds fair. However, what they are saying is that: because 8/10 is so close to 9/10, therefore they are equivalent. The fallacy of that is a no-brainer. The 1/10 they are ignoring is this: while some groups try to change society by persuasion (e.g. mivztoyim or similar ways by other belief systems), some are trying to do it by violence and other frightening tactics.
