Why on earth are you knitpicking? I love the video. A little advice, being someone who lost my love of being jewish, stopped being religious, and is slowly becoming to love judaism again, its not the best to knit pick such minor things. just doing it is alot.
A friend

I am in the same place as you,
omg i feel so horrible as he says that,
dam you, be happy someone lit the menorah with some true essential feeling for something, perhaps the first time in years he connected to his soul
maybe thats why I hate religion
ugh
awesome
The last minute does not make sense. The dude is holding the 2 candles and smiling. Has he become a smiling shamash himself?
Well every chosid must be a LAMPLIGHTER! And so has he become!
Great work guy’s!!

I am #6 – Thank you so much for saying that. I lived in crown heights – i was modern orthodox but towards the end i stopped being religious due to personal reasons. A lot of people in crown heights just nitpicked everything without even knowing what i was going through (in all aspects) and why i was starting not be religious. Then i moved to philly and met the best chabad on campus rabbi ever. He teaches us all to love the things in judaism you do and not do it if you dont have personal meaning to it. Thats how it should be – no nit picking everything but instead seeing the beauty that you do a mitzvah heartfelt

I think the guy in the end of the video sitting on the floor with his legs crossed holding two canldes is supposed to be a goy who was doing some type of buddhist thing. I thought it was cute. :)
your brother
hi nice smile you broke out dovid
to #15
Thats wrong. It was a jewish “hipster” smiling because he was remembering good memories. Its about a jewish young man who lost his way but a spark was ignited with the candle

he likes beis shamai’s s’varah more
To all who criticize #3
To all who criticize # 3: That likely isn’t why you “hate religion”. I don’t know who you are, but I can only assume that there are other deeper factors that have pushed you away. #3 is only stating the truth according to Halachah. There is no reason one should be afraid to say it as it is. I understand that most of you have your reasons for feeling angry at religion, but it isn’t and never will be the truth that will push you away. Most of the time it is everything but the truth that does it.
Hipster #2
You guys miss the whole character thing. Basically the guy with the tattoos is Jewish and once he saw the Menorah he started having flashbacks from his early childhood….The Other guy that you see toss the menorah kit his character isn’t supposed to be Jewish so at the end he was so called mocking him and interrupting his special moments because he doesn’t know any better….

great video hopefully it will wake up people .. we need to do mivtzayim in our family inreach in ourdays more important than to go travel all the world .. we can help to bring a neshama back to Torah v’Mitzvos in our own community without again accross the country. An another comment, let’s repare what our rabbis did our kids in our yeshivos!!! anyway beautiful video!!!
Someone #20 knows!
To #20, They are both Jewish. No indication in the clip otherwise. To prove my point. One can see 2 menorah’s lit in the end. Meaning both boy’s lit a menorah. ?Both are Jewish! Why he started smiling in the end? Either lack of control or just showing off his cute looks.

i watched this video and cried – i then cried once more when i saw your comment and how careful we must all be by not C”V making a cynecal remark to a fellow not knowing where he came from, where he is heading or what he feels at the moment.
EXACTLY what the vidoe is trying to bring out, 1 small seemingly minor positive deed can bring hipster back to his roots, can one imagine how much more so 1 small minor negative comment can do to someone.
I wish you the best of luck on your journey back, focus on the positive – WELCOME HOME FRIEND.
