    Reecently? Like during Tishrey or Elul even, when Chassidim are known to be deeply involved with preparation for Tishrey or during Tishrey itelf when the Rebbe had no time for a even quick nap? I have heard that in the early or mid 1950, as the Baba Sali ZTZ”L was living in Paris, from Rosh Choidesh Elul he left the family and Paris and moved to Brunoy to prepare for Tishrey etc, and the bochurim from Morocco would learn with him non stop day and night; that’s how a Chossid prepares and lives thru this period.

    If the shaliach indeed emptied the Chabad House so the rebbe could daven with his entourage, this is really not right.

    If the rebbe davened along with everyone else and gave brochos or took kvittel from interested parties, then so be it.

    The little I know of Rav Aron makes me think it was the second, unless some of Denebeim’s regular mispalelim pose security threats or are off center as many Chabad House regulars are. In that case, I could understand the first scenario.
