Video: Lubavitcher Touts Revolutionary Tech Startup
Nathan Hecht, the son of Chabad Shluchim to Forest Hills, Queens, appeared on the Fox Business channel yesterday to discuss his latest startup – an app that ‘self-destructs’ files sent over e-mail and social media.

This is soo cool! finally something that really controls what I send.

Holy cow! this really works I just tried it how do they do this?
noah
this is not actually private at all. it took me less than an hour to develop a method to gain access the full image and save it (i emailed some details to them at info@).
the problem with their security model is that it is pretty much impossible to secure this type of content. imagine if you shipped me a locked box – once i have it in my possession i can subvert the security mechanisms (pick the lock, break the lock, use dynomite, etc).
the way dstrux sends data is similar – on the website they paint images using an html element and then add blurring effects. well once you painted that image on a canvas in my browser i have full access to it! same goes for the screenshot blocker – it’s code running in my browser on my computer and i have control over how and when it runs or doesn’t run!
people who do not understand computer security should not be building privacy products.
