During the seminar on combating child abuse in the Crown Heights community this past Sunday, attorney Elie Poltrack stood up and berated District Attorney Charles Hynes over his indictment of Shmira member Yitzchok Shuchat.

During the seminar on combating child abuse in the Crown Heights community this past Sunday, attorney Elie Poltrack stood up and berated District Attorney Charles Hynes over his indictment of Shmira member Yitzchok Shuchat.

The prosecutor is seeking Shuchat’s extradition from Israel over the latter’s alleged beating of Andrew Charles, an African-American teenager.

After a heated back-and-forth between the D. A. and Mr. Poltrack, the chair of the seminar requested that the focus of the meeting shift back to the cause of child abuse prevention, to the noted approval of most present.

    I finally read Among Righteous Men. I started yesterday evening and I finished early this morning. I never understood what the “Shomrim Six” went through, or the difference between Shomrim and that other group. You guys are Osek Betzorchei a Tzibur that doesn’t appreciate or deserve you. Keep it up. Hashem will really pay your schar. Sooner rather than later the frauds and corrupt ones in Crown Heights will all be exposed, and you’ll have a decent community to protect and serve.

    Todays forum talked about how to take precautionary steps in creating policies etc… in order to PREVENT a crime from taking place.

    Your question for Hynes was out of left field….

    You chose to come to this forum along with your side kicks to bring up the case of the Mosser Yitzchok Shuchat to which you and only you are directly responsible for.

    It was a result of your lack of planning and policy that gave Shochat an opportunity to be placed in harms way of an arrest or indictment.

    Your terrible advise (and funding) of having him flee the country forced him to look guilty.

    Your also are directly responsible for giving up Schochats name to the police.

    You then shifted the blame Aron Hershkop for doing this. Instead of letting it go and moving on, you and your friends took trip after trip around Hershkop owned properties taking note of activities and emailed them to Israel where you then encouraged Shuchat to make one Messira after another.

    Your direct reporting, guiding and encouraging of Shuchat to do Messira to prompts a private investigation resulting in charges files against Schuchat for the false 311 complaints thus identifying him in Israel.

    How dare you sit at a forum to protect our kids and use the limited time to bring up a problem that YOU started?

    Why is it that your scared to take any action yourself but you use individuals with limited brains like Shuchat and Mr. Polterak to do the dirty work for you?

    This Mr. Preger is abuse on its own, you have abused and took advantage of Shuchat and others to do things as long as you stay out of the limelight

    The community isn’t outraged at Hynes for trying and bring justice to Andrew Charles they are outraged that you call yourself a leader and play political games to your own personal interest and protection, none for the community at large.

    You should be ashamed of yourself.

    #2- your right, he hasnt been charged YET…however the DA wouldnt extradite for a simple assault. Bumping it up to a hate crime, and serious felony, makes it a charge the DA’s office is willing to extradite on.

    Notice: Shmira coordinator Yaakov (a.k.a. Yanky) Prager is keeping a very safe distance away (about 10 feet) from Poltorak. Shouldn’t Prager be standing by Poltoraks side in a show of support, why is he in a ‘pushed back position’*.

    And where are all the Shmira members for their friend in dire need, wasn’t this event held on a Sunday, surly a bunch of folks who have time to volunteer for a community patrol would and could make some time to come show some support for a a fellow member (in Poltoraks words “a Hero in the community”) whose facing a possible prosecution and could end up in jail. Unless of-course they don’t really care, like the rest of use.

    Where is Shuchats good friend and partner in crime Leib Skoblo? Where is Chanina Sperlin, Eli Cohen, Yossi Stern, Barry Sugar? Where has all of Shuchat “friends” gone?

    It just hit me, where was Poltorak (and his partner Huebner) when this whole Shuchat thing went down? Why weren’t they there to help him then, why didn’t they offer to represent him, to turn him in etc…? Unless of-course as previously suspected Shuchat was advised to flee, there was some type of agenda in play here? Oh wait, they were also busy at the time orchestrating the Shomrim Six Mesira.

    Forgive my honesty but I’m having hard time with folks who are breaking the law by talking in an evil manner about another person whom thay say has also broken the law, especially since Judaism is all about the law and the Gd who gave it! You cannot have it both ways.
