i did not understand rabbi dalfin’s point. can someone please clarify?

It’s simple:
Do as you wish – it’s a free country
But don’t make a whole “todo” out of it. – You wanna do something that’s not so…?
OK – your not the first person on the planet who wants to be free and has desires. You don’t have to run around justifying it to yourself and others. It is what it is.
Chabad is Chabad. And your desire – is your desire. Don’t make it into a whole opinion.
Nothing changed. Not Chabad and not human beings.
People just used to be a bit more ashamed when they did something they knew did not match up to the standards they were raised with.
Sadly now the people that want to follow what they feel is right and true have to justify themselves to the new hip and modern crowd.
rabbi dalfin-s point
He feels that it is wrong to create groups and levels of adherence and practice within Chabad. He is not addressing or criticizing any particular behavior. He is opposing the acceptance of different “agendas” within Chabad.
Dovid
The term Chabad lite or modern chabad was not created by those not up to par with chassidishe standards but by those self righteous chassidim looking down at those not up to par with so called chassidishe standards.
chaim
To be a chabad chossid today we need to follow the Rebbe’s insight of chassidus. Many chabad-lite guys unfortunately know they will never go onto shlichus. So what do they have for something to look forward to. Do not judge though people who never had a chance in making the Rebbe proud of them.
CHAIM DALFIN BRINGS CHAYOS
it’s great to see reb chaim dalfin farbrenging, for some odd reason ,in my humble opinion he is not utilised enough by our yeshivos or communities.
the way he tells stories, stories that other michanchim don’t tell,;and esp.the way he sings niggunim, there’s no one like him..
i was in yeshiva gedola melbourne 2 yrs.,ago,he was supposed to come and give a shiur for a half hour in tanya, the bochurim insisted he speak longer,he then spoke about his bochurisheh yorin in 770,
but what really really blew us all away ,was then he sat down to sing some niggunim, and teach how to sing a niggun…..;what can i say, bochurim, that usually couldn’t care about these things one drop, sat SPELLBOUND for the whole time,it was an experience i’ll never forget.
i think every yeshiva should ask him to farbreng etc.etc.,the bochurim will love it.

To number 5: The Rebbe is not only proud of shluchim. There are many people in Crown Heights that never went on shlichus and still give naches to the Rebbe. Maybe people do not have chance to go on shlichus because they are not supposed to, H’ did not make this their mission, but they are still chasidishe people.
The question here are the ones who still want to be called Lubavitchers and have their children learning in mosdos that teach one thing and they come home and see something else.

Is going on “official” shlichus the only way to make the Rebbe proud? I don’t believe he ever said that. And even if that’s a popular sentiment, does it preclude “lite” folks from internalizing and disseminating the Rebbe’s chassidus through other, “less official” channels. I don’t think so.
Do you realize that by perpetuating such a view of the Rebbe you are actually working against the precise kind of adverse reaction that you are seeking to prevent from within your Chabad brethren?
Please don’t decide for anyone other than yourself what makes the Rebbe proud. You’re not doing anyone any favors.
Agree with 4
I was going to say what 4 said, no one calls themselves “chabad lite” it is a name that’s GIven by the wholier than thous

Really?
“The greatest Klippah that ever existed”?
Rabbi Dalfin, you really think so? Not even one other Klippah in the entire universe since sheshes yemai breishis? Not even one?
Rabbi Dalfin, perhaps it is time for a bit of a cheshbon hanefesh.
