It is a snaggy video it is way to late for this to happen….
It like telling people to stop driving…. Way way to late

  • to #3

It would seem its too late for you!
I guess being that you’re“not a snag” you don’t own a cell phone, nor you you miss out on spending quality time with those around you. You must be perfect.

Such is the stupidity of the average human, that had the telephone been invented after texting, everyone would be busy yapping on their phones while looking down on those texting as hopelessly uncool.

your right its way to late, no one ever made money, ran a business or ran a household without texting or talking on they’re cell phone. I wonder how Warren Buffet pays his bills without owning a cell phone or computer

  • AMAZING

i find this so true.people are so busy texting and checking stuff on their phone that they don’t realize what happens in their surroundings and there is limited face to face and quality time even with the family.
KOL HAKAVOD ! well done.it’s never to late to change !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will happen It’s not forever. That’s not what they are asking for. Just do it for one hour during tzom Gedalia. Connect with your family and friends in real time. Don’t call me from 7-8 pm. I’m disconnecting to spend that hour with my kids

  • a crown heighter texter

this gives a really good messege! even to me! weather ur a snag or not!!

umm…I am totally throwing out my cellphone tonight…I mean the item I use as my alarm, watch, calculator, telephone, day planner – with reminders and of course emails, texting and web browsing.

The reality is, this won’t go away and we have to learn how to live with it….an inspirational video like this, is nice, however it does not provide a supplement to overcome the addiction.

Cell phones are extremely addictive and used to communicate with our fellow human beings. They have many benefits and also plenty of faults.

    USE WITH CAUTION….and good luck

what people do no realize that is A.T.& T, T-Mobile, sprint,Verizon are the new Egyptians of our age enslaving everyone.

  • MODERN CURSE

TO NUMBER 6 AND OTHER STUPID COMMENTS. THE CELL PHONE (WHIDH I DO OWN AND USE) AND TEXTING HAVE GOTTEN RIDICULOUSLY OUT OF HAND. I WAS PHYSICALLY PUSED OUT OF SOMEONES WAY IN THE SUPERMARKET AS I WAS IN HER WAY OF REACHING WHAT SHE WANTED. SHE WAS TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT SHE DID AND KEPT RIGHT ON WITH HER CONVERSATION ON HER CELL. AND WHEN SHE GOT WHAT SHE WANTED SHOVED ME OUT OF HER WAY ONCE AGAIN IN TOTAL OBLIVION. SHE IS A YOUNG WOMAN WHILE I AM OLD ENOUGH TO BE HER GRANDMOTHER. MY OWN GRAND DAUGHTER WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE SHE WAS BUSY TEXTING, B”H SHE’S HERE TO TELL THE TAIL. THERE SHOULD BE RULES WITH FINES FOR TEXTING OR EVEN TALKING ON THE PHONE IN CERTAIN PLACES. FOR EXAMPLE A MOTHER WALKING WITH CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TALK ON THE CELL PHONE, UNLESS SHE IS STANDING IN ONE SPOT AND NOT WALKING. I SEE MOTHERS ON THE PHONE AND FORGET THEY HAVE THEIR CHILDREN WITH THEM. WHAT WOULD BE THE TRAGEDY IF A MOTHER IS WALKING WITH HER CHILDREN – NO MATTER THE AGE AND SPENDS HER TIME TALKING TO THEM! CONNECTING WITH THEM. HEAVEN HELP US!!!!

  • shut up.

yall just need to shut up. this was a great video and very true so INSTEAD OF FIGHTING…AGREE ON SOMETHING!

  • grow up people

it doesnt really matter who this was made by or if it was copied, this is a really beautiful and thought-provoking video that addresses a relevant issue in today’s society., even if you think cellphones are necessary no sane person can deny that it has gotten way out of hand.

  • Agree

I agree! I think cell phones are mad when overused! I use mine in moderation and only when safe and necessary…

  • Just me

All those great images of everyone connecting and apparently laughing their heart out about something can still happen with a cell phone. You just text quickly and drop it back into your bag. Like everyone says, it’s all in how you use it. I am so tired of people saying how “OMG this parent/babysitter was totally ignoring the kids etc.”
Well, yes maybe some are, but others are giving their kids a great time and are also juggling other things such as meeting up with a mother-in-law, or asking the kids parent whether it is ok to be giving their child a fruit etc.
So please don’t go judging just based on what you see. Not every person is addicted to their cell phone, I would say a good many of them set boundaries and honestly don’t see the great appeal of constantly having to be around their phone.
I know I don’t. In which case this whole hour schtick is wasted on me. A computer disconnect on the other hand would be a great thing for me to do. ;) And I do do it sometimes!

  • Uh huh

i hav a friend who was so busy txting that he didnt notice the steel part of a door slammed into his cheek & he broke his tooth! You haveto watch where you’re going while you’re txting!
