Err… I am sort of a baal-teshuva yid, and although I grew up secular I am learning now. And from what I have recently heard is that we are not supposed to stare at rainbow, and even if we take a pick we are supposed to say brocha “Zoheir ~habris veneeman bivrisoy vkayom bamaamoroy.”, and that the reason for avoiding looking into it is because when Hashem BH sent the flood, the rainbow signaled the end of the world then, and we thank him for remembering his covernant where he said that he will not try to destroy us by flood anymore… Am I right?

Now that it has been done, I think everyone can appreciate the gravity of the the terrible situation the Jewish people are now in.

Maybe we need to realize what it stands for, to do Teshuvah, to really return to Hashem so he will finally end this bitter exile.

It might help some of us return…
