  • chilul Hashem

no question about it. what is it with talking behind the gated door?

  • not in CH

This CBS story is several months old , the school is obviously dealing with the students , So i would say its a Chilul Hashem that “YOU” re-post it “NOW”. just my opinion

  • Satmar

This is most probably a Satmar type of Yeshiva where the kids are animals. So I don’t think it’s biased news.

Absolutely one-sided. Yes, these things happen–but flies always manage to find filth. They pay no attention to flowers. Reporters are flies. Especially these people. They would never dare run a story that makes a Muslim madrassa look bad.

  • Uncle Mendel

And if this was a catholic school, or a public school, would anything be reported?

  • Adult supervision?

Seriously???? A video camera, how about some human adult supervision, laying down the law? It’s not safe or considerate.

I think the rabbi interviewed was frank and honest . He admitted some students threw rocks and he said he was taking measures to find out who did it and put a stop to it. I think that is reasonable.

You can say boys will be boys–but there is no excuse for this type of behavior nor is there any justification for the non-supervision of these kids during playtime. It does nothing to improve our image or position in the community where we are supposed to set the example. There is no need to give extra fuel to those who are anti-semitic.

  • daddy dad

I wonder why this wasn’t on any other site ;)
Yes its embrassing because as frum yidden and especially and obviously chassidish kids are expected alot more then to throw rocks and cause such nareshkeit and chilul hashem – that said I would think these kids might just need more room and time to vent and play like real kids.

  • my opinion

    BS“D

the news anchor described it as ”dangerous horse play”.
i dont call that one sided journalism
i call it candid and accurate journalism
i think they were very fair in their coverage of what personally i see
as an outrage – how terrible of these students not respecting other pple’s right to respect.
    definitely chilul Hashem.
they should come down seriously hard on these kids.
    big problem.

This is old. Why are you posting it now? And why raise the question of chilul haShem, when there seems no reason to believe the neighbour, and the TV show didn’t even bother to ask the school for its version of events. Cornering a random teacher, who is not a school spokesman, in the middle of davening doesn’t count. We have no idea what the school might have said if asked; what we do know is that we have only the neighbour’s word for most of these allegations. All we actually see is boys climbing a fence, as boys will do. And we know that all schools have problems with neighbours who paid less for their housees because of the location, and then complain anyway.

  • crazy

what happened to teacher supervision during break times!??!?

What the heck is wrong with these kids?
I dont think its bias – the school didnt deny it.

  • Observing

There’s always articles about how there’s also crime by Frum people, religiouss people, etc.

And there’s also good by the black people, liberal people, etc.

But people forget that it’s ALSO. Nobody would say there’s also good by the jews and also bad by the ….

  • number 11 good point

    i totally agree with #11
who has time to sleep during the day ?
lazy lazy lazy eat off of society animals

  • declasse intellectual

Hey #11 and #17, there are people who work at night and need to sleep during the day! You missed the point, there is no direct supervision of those students during play time and that is the issue alone.

  • grf

For those who are criticizing people who sleep during the day, many, many people work nights: bus drivers, nurses, construction workers, police.

I think that the rabbi made a kiddush Hashem – and the bigoted neighbors showed that they clearly do not have a nefesh elokis.
