Friendship Circle of Ottawa, Canada recently honoured its teen volunteers at a family barbecue in Hampton Park. Friendship Circle was started by Dr. Yosef and Devora Caytak in September of 2006.

Friendship Circle of Ottawa, Canada recently honoured its teen volunteers at a family barbecue in Hampton Park. Friendship Circle was started by Dr. Yosef and Devora Caytak in September of 2006.

The initial funding was granted by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and then ultimately renewed in 2008. A total of $100, 000 was contributed by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, run the the Canadian government.

Yasir Naqvi, M.P.P. (member of the provincial parliament of Ontario) was a guest speaker and took time from his busy schedule to personally acknowledge and thank the volunteers. He presented each teen with an inscribed

Certificate of Appreciation for their devotion and dedication to Friendship Circle and its families.

Friendship Circle reaches out and extends a helping hand to families whose children have special needs and involves them in a full range of Jewish and social experiences. The Circle’s unique formula introduces volunteers to the children and through shared experiences both are enriched.
