No land for peace. Though most of BIbi is good, some quotes I have read scare me

He said what was needed to be said, but the world will not listen because they have already made their decision against Israel. The European Union has been so anti-Israel. After all, the world was queit when the holicost was occuring and haven forbid something horrid would occur,Israel would be out on her own. And the terrotists has ve said, first, Israel, then Europe and then the fgreatest abonination of the all, America–that is their hit list.

first of all i thank this site for posting my unvarnished comment

i think its a travesty that for all his popularity and importantly putting obama in his place and all of chabad leaders support

    he promised “concessions for peace”

which includes future death g-d forbid at the hands of hamas
and destruction of homes and communities of close to 300,000 jews and their lives in order to give it to hamas

it is against torah against the rebbes undoubted mission and against common sense!!

we need more jewish and a more determined identity for the leadership of israel

  • Outraged!

I watched the speech in horror that Netanyahu has delivered before congress. It was a total disaster.

    A) How does he stand in front of these congressmen, 95% gentile, and lecture them as the representative of Israel, that it’s our ancestral homeland of Abraham, King David etc. Wouldn’t these gentiles exercise their IQs and think, hey, if this is the same Israelite homeland of Abraham’s times, shouldn’t its leader feature a yarmulkah upon his head when he addresses the most powerful body of gentiles in the world?! Isn’t he coming to represent the Jewish nation?

    B) Where was his humility? Please cite the time of the speech when he displayed a shred of humility. He was so arrogant and he made it seem like he was the new Messiah coming to herald global peace. Only Torah outlines true peace.

    C) How dare he say that he is COMMITED to placing a Palestinian State alongside Israel, what if they wipe us off the map when they have a state? Can he take responsibility? Of course not, but Mr. Netanyahu is committed with his arrogance to stick it to the right.

    D) How can he arrogantly claim that Israel is a true democracy when he actively made sure that Mr. Feiglin not be sworn into the Knesset even though he had the votes required and then some. And when Feiglin tried to defend himself of a repeat of that by running for Likud central leadership, Mr. Netanyahu saw the momentum he was gaining and postponed the election for a year! Democracy?! Give me a break.

    E) HOW DARE he say that he is going to be VERY GENEROUS in giving away our land to the Palestinians? Who is he? G-D gives the land to us Jews and this sick arrogant, self worshipping ‘Shabtai Tzvi like’… thinks that he has the messianic right to distribute the entire Jewish People’s inheritance from G-d as he and a few of his cohorts please?

We are deep in golus. There are no words. The impression I got from the speech; is never again will there be a holocaust. Now we will only give away enough land to be slaughtered retail, not wholesale. To be a light unto the nation DOES NOT mean to throw your children and grandchildren under the bus. Being a light unto the nations means fighting for your children’s future with vigor and principle.

This speech looked great only if you failed to listen to the substance. When all the dust settles, history will judge this speech as the day Netanyahu sold out the Jewish people to self aggrandize himself and go back to the hotel and watch a rerun of his speech with the 26 standing ovations and then kvell over his own genius. He is a real disgrace unto the Jews. When the goyim think more into his words, their respect for us will diminish.

This was a stunt that scored Netanyahu a few PR points, but it’s a bubble that will rupture, and go terribly wrong. He has promised the Palestinians in this speech IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE US CONGRESS, way too much, that no future non-suicidal Israeli Prime Minister will be able to keep. But now that these promises were made in front of congress, things that were never expected of us by the USA will start being expected of us. Very painful day for klal yisroel.

  • Pease for prosperity

If he just said peace for prosperity and not land since we need it to keep the peace, he would still get the same standing ovation.

  • Action

Candidate Obama also made very nice speeches, we all see how President obama turned out.

I’m not impressed with nice speeches.

Let’s see some real action on the ground.

  • Thinkster

    I counted 927 standing ovations.
The reality is, regardless of what Bibi says, the ‘Palestinians’ are not partners in peace, and never will be. Therefore, none of these grand ideas will ever come to pass.

    4. Outraged:

Bibi was born in Israel, Bibi fought for Israel, Bibi LIVES in Israel.

Can you say yes to any of those points, Outraged? Somehow I think not.

  • Outraged

So that gives Bibi the right to give away Israel? The Rebbe didn’t live in Israel, fight for Israel and was born in Nikolayev, yet he felt quite comfortable using Torah as the guide of how to manage the inheritance of ALL the Jewish people.

You remind me of the people that when you want to express an opinion, they immediately ask “did you ever meet him?”. Unto which I reply, I never met Hitler yet feel comfortable passing judgement. Likewise, you can have an opinion without living in Israel.

    Thank you.

What most of the commintators did not understand what Netanyahu said amongst all of his well phrased comments. Bibi stated that Obama killed the chances of peace talks and his proposals would in essence take away any bargenning position that would be at the negotiating table;.i.e., instead fo having flexable lines to negotiate a secure border Obama stated go back to an undefensable border and then swap territory from that limited amount of land. And, for the refugees, maybe there might be a possiblity that Israel might alow some back into the country, Obama stated all had the right tio return immediately which would destroy the essential nature of the Jewish state. And, as for his assurances about Jerusalem, we all know know that Obama has a proven track record for not telling the truth. And, coourse, Bib stated we are not going to comnit suicide so you can win friends among the Islamic extremists, Mr. obama.

  • ??????
