Homeland Security Learns for Israeli Anti-Terrorism

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano arrived Monday in Israel on a multi-city tour to assess security measures for U.S.-bound flights.

Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch on Tuesday hosted US Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano for a visit with the Border Police Anti-Terrorism Unit.

Aharonovitch, briefed Secretary Napolitano on the activity of the Public Security Ministry and the various bodies under its authority.

In recent years there has been a decline in terrorist attacks, he noted. This has enabled the Israel Police to focus more on crime and Israelis’ personal security as well as counter-terrorism, he continued.
