1979: The Rebbe warns of a Rising threat in Iran

Almost 31 years ago to the day, on November 4th, 1979 a group of Islamist students and militants took over the Embassy of the United States in support of the Iranian Revolution and took over 50 Americans hostages for over 14 months.

A little over a month after they were taken hostage, on Yud Tes Kislev, the Rebbe spoke publicly, pronouncing that Iran’s moves signaled a shift in geo-politics, and that Iran was becoming a serious threat to the world at large – the United States and Israel, in particular.

This week in honor of the Kinus Hashluchim, the second volume in the Faithful and Fortified series:Faithful and Fortified, Volume II – Israel’s Journalists, will be released detailing the event.
