Pre-Elections Interview with Rabbi Moshe Bogomilsky

One thing that I failed to perceive from this interview is a sense for Rabbi Bogomilsky’s humility. Although I am not a fan of his for many years, I will say unequivocally that he is a highly qualified candidate for the job. However, what I feel is a lack of anivus concerns me.

On another note, I think it might be beneficial to have a younger rov on the Beis Din for a number of reasons, including the potential that he can be seen as a role model for youth in the community. The Vaad Hakohol elections proved that this community desires youth in its ranks and the fresh perspectives it is hoped they will bring. Whoever the community chooses, it will be a lifetime appointment. I hope we choose wisely.

  • ELI DOVID GRUNTZWEIG

I BELIEVE RABBBI BOGOMILSKI IS THE RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR THE THIRD ROV IN KROWN HEIGHTS, AND HE WILL ACHIEVE TO MAKE SHOLOM IN THE BEIS DIN, AND IN THE SHECHUNOH, AND CROWN HEIGHTS WILL ONCE AGIN LOOK NORMAL AND BRING A KIDUSH LUBAVITCH.

RABBI BOGOMILSKI G-D BLESS YOU WITH MUCH SUCCESS AND WITH A KESIVOH VACHASIMOH TOIVOH LESHONO TOIVOH UMESUKOH AND WITH GOOD HEALTH AND LONG LIFE AND WITH A LOT OF KOIACH NOT TO BE NISPOEL FROM ALL BAALEI MACHLOIKES.

  • zelig

very impressive interview. I wonder why they dont release a similiar interview with Rabbi Braun. They must think their candidate wont make a good impression.

  • The only candidate

I feel that every word he said is true. And I hope IYH to vote with him. I know that there are many that have issues with him on the BD”TZ. But in terms of shimush stemming back from R Z.SH Dvorkin, he is the only one. And we know the famous vort hashoiteh yayin migitoi

  • Rav Schwei

I’m sure everyone knows that the last few years – Rav Schwei has joined Rav Bogomilsky’s Mecira Chometz to the Goy, and they do it together with great respect.

  • chassidishe rov

What is a “chassidishe” Rov? the Rebbe stated many times in 5748/9 that we should consult with “chassidishe” rabbonim on all matters, whet defines a “chassidishe” rov?

    Please help me

  • He Has Our Vote

Rabbi Bogomilsky is an examplary Rov who combines Torah and chesed and who shows concern for the individual. Not only is he well- versed in the four sections of the Shulchan Aruch but in the fifth one as well(common sense);something that we are in dire need of here in Crown Heights.

  • MORE PLEASE!

    THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CAN YOU PLEASE DO THE SAME TYPE OF INTERVIEW WITH RABBI BRAUN AND RABBI CHAVIV?!?!?!?!

  • a resident of crown heights

I like to tell some tips to my fellow friends residents of crown heights that are looking for whom to vote.

    1) In community consul is a very good idea to put young people also bear in mined that they are only for a couple of years.

    2) A Rov has to be with life experience beside his qualification for rabonishe question.
And this is also the reason for the Haloche that a Rov in a kehila should not be younger than 40 years old (Yore deah siman 242 Seif 31).

    3) it is always better to choose somebody that you know for years, you know his Maalos you know his chsronos but you still think he will do a good job for the Beis din and for the Shchona , than to bring some one from far way,
particularly that you hear different opinions about him, some are painting him like the biggest bal achdus’ and some will tell you that he is the biggest baal machlokes.
Some said he is full of energy, and some said that a young and strong horse can take you very fast to hell.

  • Shomrim Six - Chaim Hershkop

Rabbi Bogomilsky G-d bless him spoke up against Mesira when no other would.

Rabbi Bogomilsky is a loving, caring individual, the best way I can describe the Rabbi is – TRUST!

I TRUST the Rabbi with anything and everything regarding my life and families life. I go to the Rabbi for every issue in my life, big or small.

When I and my Shomrim Brothers sat on trial and facing up to 15 years prison if g-d forbid convicted, Rabbi Bogomilsky was very much involved in every aspect of the case.
Every question we had big or small we asked the Rabbi.
At one critical moment the Rabbi gave use his opinion and advised us to ask the Munkatcher Rebbe who I learned has much experience when it comes to legal matters.

The Rebbe heard what we had to say and gave use the same advice as Rabbi Bogomilsky originally gave.

When we missed a day during trial in calling the Rabbi, the Rabbi would call either myself or the others to acquire about the day in court.

I have had two Din Torahs with Rabbi Bogomilsky and even though I didn’t walk away getting what I want or thought was mine, I still walked away feeling like a winner.

My father G-d bless him, always told us. If someone walks out of a Din Torah feeling like a loser, then something is wrong with the Bais Din or the Rabonim in that Bais Din.

After a DIN TORAH with Rabbi Bogomilsky, I felt as if the Rabbi listened to myself and the other party, understood what I was trying to say, asked the right questions and most impotently walked away understanding the DIN-Halacha regarding the matter at hand. I would as a result get advice as what to do in the future according to Torah.

If two Yidden who are Shomer Torah and Mitzvos go to a Din Torah, because they both truly want to know what the Shulcha Aruch/Torah/Hashem has to say about the sisuation at hand, then there is no reason why either party walks away feeling like a loser or even a winner.

My older brother who lives in Israel had a Din Torah with another Chossid. The Rabbi heard their case and ruled in my brothers favor. The other party mumbled under his breath “if the Rabbi said I have to pay, then I’ll listen and pay”.
The Rabbi stood up and started screaming, “it’s not what I want, it’s what the Shulchan Aruch wants”.

This is the feeling you get from Rabbi Bogomilsky, your always a winner.

    Signed,
    Chaim Hershkop

  • go bogo

people smarten up. why succumb to the worst part of human nature and think that the grass is greener somewhere else? it never works that way. things that look good and exciting never turn out that way. look what we have in our community – a treasure, a giant. perfect? no but only g-d is perfect! show your support people

  • Don-t be Fooled

Rabbi Bogomilsky is no push over and although endorsed by Rabbi Osdoba he will be his own man. Braun who was brought up from down under or unter drerd will be beholden to Hendel veKat delay & co. He also has the advantage that as a senior member of Vaad Rabonei Lubavitch he brings an added demension of Achdus that the other candidate has no connection to. Besides Braun is at the source of the fiery Machloikes in Sydney. No wonder they want to get rid of him!

  • am voting for

wow. thats all i need to hear. A ROV WHO CAN BRING BACK RESPECT TO CROWN HEIGHT am voting for rabbi bogomilsky. i hope every one sees what i see A BAIS DIN THAT CAN WORK TOGHTER

  • Shlome Seldowitz

I believe that our esteemed and beloved Rabbi Bogilmilsky will achieve even more than he described in the interview of ch.info, because everyone wants unity, the people of CH, the Rebbe, and Hashem.

As the holy Maharsha says as a result of a footnote in the Kuntres Rabbenu Sh’b’Bavel (Rosh Hashana by AA’s birthday, that 3 can achieve together than three or even two apart, as he illustrates byin. the story of Eliyahu waking the Avos apart in order that they not compel Hashem to send Moshiach Now.

In my view, Maharsaha’s teirutz begs the shayla. Perhaps, Rabbi B. shall explain this apparent shtira to the Rebbe’s view.

Mazel tov, Rabbi B., you’re gonna win b’zechus Didan Nozach.

  • A.Gilman

to number one. When one calls a Shadchan one can not be humble. This election is too important for one to be humble also. Who did the Rosh Yeshivah of 770, Rav Zalman Labkofsky, take to speak when he had to defend the Fundelmentalists in Lubavitich by the Vaad Hayeshivahs who decide who gets large federal grants? Rav Bogomilsky disarmed all the hostile Litvish Rosh Yeshivahs with his wit, scholarship and charm.

  • moshiach

is something wrong with the pple talking gossip about these pple
why do you need a rav to begin with this is such
just stop being like this work on your selfs instead of speaking gossip

  • Rav Wircberg has Shimush by Dvorkin

Rabbi Yosef Baruch Wircberg (Hadar HaTorah Mashpia) ALSO has Shimush by Rav Dvorkin A”H.

  • Braun vs. Bogomilsky - Pros and Cons

    Bogomilsky
Pros: knows what he’s doing, is respected by the two rabbis, and can get the job done.

Cons: not that great with English, not that great on video, old generation.

    Braun
Pros: Seems like a very sweet and knowledgable guy, young, with it, answers emails, will relate well with young people, will be pro-active.

Cons: young, won’t have the clout with the two warring sides to bring peace.

    My Vote
Bogomilsky for Rov, Braun for Mashpia.

  • C.H.

It’s ok about the emails, Rabbi Bogomilsky always answers his phone or gets back to me, ALWAYS.

And 97% times I need to come over I can come right away.
The other 3% I am told to come in a few minutes, the most, an hour or two.

Rabbi Bogomilsky has always been there and will always be here for us, email/text or not.
