    I was there, on the show, on the stage. Idiotfest, you are well-named. Just being in the same room with Al Sharpton made my flesh crawl. He is, IRL, the most hateful bigot. Jackie Mason makes no secret of his bias in favor of his people, but with great courtesy, he gave Sharpton every opportunity to refute the claims against him. Like a true racist politician, he circumvented those questions & dragged up irrelevancies like Howard Beach. While that was a horrible injustice, it is hardly on the same level as 3 days of mob rule attacking a whole community.

    Idiotfest, do you live in Crown Heights? WERE YOU HERE DURING THE ROTS? Were you involved (as I was) in getting justice for Yankel Rosenbaum HY”D? Did you attend the trial of Lemerick Nelson (as I did) on a daily basis, putting my life on hold & that of my family because I believed then, as I do now, in the bigger picture: of preventing anti-semitism & racism from growing worse?

    Sadly, I can’t say we were totally successful, but some things DID change for the better. Oh and FYI…I shopped at the Korean Grocery during the boycott. I bought vegetables. The owners needed to see support from the Frum community. AFAIK, we were the only Jews to go there & believe me, it was a terrifying experience. WERE YOU THERE, MR. BIG IDIOTFEST? NO??? Then keep quiet.

    Wow, I remember this show. I am so proud of Mr. Stern for standing up to the racist Al Sharpton.

    I was also in crown heights in August 1991. Everything Mr. Stern said is 100 percent true. I witnessed this with my own eyes. every day on eastern pkwy there was a march led by sharpton and when the march came in front of 770 bricks,bottles,and rocks were hurled at the synagogue along with anti-semitic slogans.

    Also, I know that Mrs Malamud of Eastern Pkwy made some videos during the riots. I ask the Malamud family to please post those videos on youtube so the entire world can see what sharpton and his acolytes have done to our community , and the lack of action by the police department.

    I was there in the audience. Jackie Mason was hurting for ratings and invited some of us Crown Heightsers to be in the audience without telling us Al Sharpton would be the guest. If I had known Sharpton was going to be on, I would not have agreed to be on the show. I was furious that Jackie Mason duped us into participating in that circus and for giving Sharpton media covergse. I felt that Jackie Mason showed he was more loyal to his bottom line than to his people. His show was cancelled a few weeks later anway.
