CROWN HEIGHTS [WABC] — A mother is in police custody in Brooklyn after police officers responding to a 911 call found her 2-month old son not breathing.

Authorities were called to the Wingate section on a report of an unconscious infant around 4 p.m. FDNY EMS workers attempted CPR, but the child did not respond. The baby was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The boy was identified as Tuquan Bennett-Shuler.

His mother was immediately put into custody and was questioned at the 71st Precinct.
