A professional boxer from Brooklyn who also happens to be an Orthodox Jew is one contender who is making a name for himself in and out of the ring. Ukrainian-born Dmitriy Salita prays daily at an ultra-Orthodox center in Flatbush, keeps kosher, and doesn't fight or train on the Jewish Sabbath.

    to M.M. – yarmulke cannot sustain in this type of body movement. I go to the same gym and what I do is I attach baseball cap tightly. What happens is sweat accumulates and eyes get flooded with salt. I barely handle that but compare my training with Dmitri’s :)
